From the PE: Feinstein leads pack of possible candidates for governor |

SACRAMENTO - U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has a big head start on several real or potential candidates for California governor in 2010, according to a poll released today.
Feinstein, who was re-elected to a third six-year term in 2006, has not formed an exploratory committee or made any other moves that would suggest she wants to succeed Gov. Schwarzenegger, who has to leave office in two years because of term limits.
But a nonpartisan Field Poll of likely voters released today finds that Feinstein would be the front-runner in the 2010 Democratic primary.
