Paul, get over it!

And stop distorting the facts. Bosacki won his election and he’s still at it. Driving around Hesperia yesterday I realized how screwed up it is. And it’s only going to get worse.

Is there even one year of college education between the four of them? Hesperia is a great example of simple-minded politicians running the show.

From the Sun: Kirk loses Hesperia race in spite of war chest

One of my posts below discusses some of my feelings about the local Republican party. Of course Mark Kirk is one of its leaders. And he is one of the few for whom I have respect. One of the many reasons I have respect for Mark is the fact that he ran a clean campaign.

Mike’s reference to a “smear” is laughable. I heard Brad’s radio spot and there was nothing wrong with it. The real “smear” came from the Mike Leonard and Paul Bosacki side via Al Vogler. They ran a very dirty campaign. All one has to do is check out the many lies on Bosacki’s webpage to get just an inkling of how dishonest he is. Campaigns do seem to be easier to win for those with no integrity.

How much money does it take to win a City Council race?

Not as much as some might think.

Mark Kirk - a Republican political operative in San Bernardino County and Supervisor Gary Ovitt’s chief of staff - lost the Hesperia council race Tuesday by nearly 2,000 votes, despite a huge infusion of cash.

“Anytime you have a campaign, no matter how much money you spend, no matter how much work you do, at the end of the day, it’s the voters’ decision,” Kirk said.

From Rochelle Garner: Hesperia Politics

Since I began campaigning ealier this year, I have learned a lot.  The biggest thing I have learned is that there are two parties here and they are not republican or democratic.  They are the Postmus/Mitzelfelt party and the Voglers.  If you are not aligned with either one, then you get attacked by both sides accusing you of being on the other.  I guess it is impossible to be independent.

I have also learned how low and dirty some people will go.  Here are just a few comments posted on the Hesperia Star:

“Being street smart and knowing the world instead of being on your back and being ready for whatever comes makes you a adult.”

“All your doing is beating a half dead horse, And a plumber for a husband that is no job to clean out toilets the name for that is a manure censure, for a councils wife you just a little girl yet to grow up in this world you have never lived a hard life yet.”

Those are just a few comments that people have posted about me.  These comments really shocked me and almost discouraged me, but I am a fighter.

I know that Hesperia really needs a new governement.  I hope that on Tuesday the voters will come through and our city will start to see a new day.
