Politico: BlackBerry outage sours D.C.
Capitol Hill staffers are calling it the “Black-pocalypse.”
A network problem that has caused BlackBerry outages on at least four continents spread to North America on Wednesday and hit Washington’s addiction to the smartphone with a vengeance.
“It’s like going back a decade when the only way you were in the loop was if you were at your desk,” said one Senate staff member, who said half of the office’s BlackBerrys were out. “Getting approvals, going to meetings is all a lot more challenging when you’re not mobile. Today is one of those days when every task takes an extra 15-20 minutes because of the lack of a BlackBerry.”
BlackBerry-maker Research in Motion acknowledged that the patchy email and blocked access to browsing and messaging that has been plaguing users for as many as three days in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Latin America had reached the U.S.
“We know that many of you are still experiencing service problems,” RIM said in a statement. “The resolution of this service issue is our No. 1 priority right now and we are working night and day to restore all BlackBerry services to normal levels. ”
The outage caught much of D.C. off guard Wednesday and underscored the region’s reliance on the BlackBerry — which is still the only federally approved smartphone for employees in some government agencies.

Is this really THEE BILL POSTMUS? or is this really Sharon pretending to be Bill? or, did Sharon stick you in a pit, make you rub lotion on yourself and starve you. “It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again”. Is Sharon walking around her home with Bill Postmus’ skin draped over her shoulders?
Bill, what kind of fair can we expect from this blog? will you only be discussing national matters or will you get into the nitty gritty of county corruption? I can imagine that local matters might be difficult, but I selfishly do hope that you can speak on and be as open as possible over county circumstances. BTW, I find myself in a strange predicament. I will admit that I havn’t spoken kindly of you, But I will also admitt to secretly cheering for your recovery and also, to a degree, the fact that you cooperated with authorities. You might not see it this way, but you are closer to seeing a day when all this is behind you and you are closer to being a human.

Sharon, Don’t take any of what I said to Bill personally. I was just clowning with the two of you. I’m trying to be a more civil Billy Jack Attack.

BJA, It’s Bill’s site but I host it and manage it because I can do so for free. Bill picks all the content.
At this point it is simply cut and paste of items that interest him. Eventually, there will be original material.
